Há um português entre os vencedores de 2016 do maior concurso mundial de fotografia subaquática

Underwater Photographer of the Year é o mais prestigiado concurso fotográfico totalmente dedicado ao mundo subaquático e foram revelados os vencedores de 2016. Entre as 80 imagens premiadas, há duas do português Rui Serra.

Criado em 1965 por Bernard Eaton, este concurso começou por divulgar os trabalhos feitos por britânicos e deu origem à criação da Sociedade Britânica de Fotografia Subaquática (British Society of Underwater Photographers) dois anos depois. Mas a crescente fama rapidamente se espalhou ao resto do mundo e na última edição receberam fotografias de 54 países.

O italiano Davide Lopresti foi o grande vencedor com a sua fotografia intitulada “Gold“.
